TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. PAYMENT
1.1. Applications for courses are only accepted with Full Payment of course fees. The course fees must be paid in full before students begin their course.
2. WHAT THE COURSE FEES INCLUDE
2.1. Course and Material created by teacher. If students prefer a book, this will not be included in the price and students shall pay for the book.
3. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
3.1. When you purchase a course, you have 48 hours to If you wish to cancel a course, you must put your request in writing 24-hours before the course starts. The following cancellation conditions apply:
Notice received 30 working days or more before the beginning of the course: 50% of your full fees will be retained
Notice received between 29 and 15 working days prior to the beginning of the course: 75% your full fees will be retained
Notice received between 14 and 0 working days prior to the beginning of the course: full fee will be retained.
3.2. Refunds will only be made to the person who paid the fees and using the same payment/transaction method. Refunds will be made within 15 working days of the ClaudiaMyEnglishTeacher confirming the refund by email. Payments made by a student cannot be transferred to another student or another course. All courses are non-transferrable.
4. POSTPONING – COURSE TRANSFER - TERMINATION
4.1. If you want to postpone your course, ClaudiaMyEnglisTeacher must receive notice before the starting date of your course. Notice received after the course start date will not be valid. Notice received after the course start date will not be valid.
4.2. Postponing the start date of private courses is possible with a 5 day-notice.
4.3. Postponing the start date of group courses is possible subject to course availability.
4.4. If the requested new start date is not available, the amount paid for the course can be transferred onto a different course which may have a different price (check pricelist)
4.5. Transfer of courses is available subject to course availability.
4.6. No compensation will be given if a student arrives late or does not attend part or all of his/her course.
4.7. If a student wishes to terminate their course early, they cannot transfer any funds paid for another course. Compensation for any serious illnesses will be at the sole discretion of the Director. The Director’s decision will be final.
5. LESSON CANCELLATION
5.1. There is a 24-hour lesson cancellation policy. The student will notify the teacher 24 hours prior to the lesson if he/she cannot attend. For cancellations made with less than 24-hour notice, the lesson will be lost and it is not refundable or transferable to another time slot. In group courses, lessons cannot be transferred to another time slot and the teacher will send the lesson material to the student.
5.2. Classes may be cancelled or merged with other classes due to low enrolment. ClaudiaMyEnglisTeacher also reserves the right to change the times and teachers of classes.
5.3. If the teacher cancels at any time, the student will receive an extra lesson.
6. CHANGING COURSES and TIMES
6.1. If you are moving from a less expensive to a more expensive course, you must pay the difference in price between the two, regardless of how long you have left to study. If, subsequently, you change back to a cheaper course, you will not receive a refund of any part of this payment, but you retain the option to move back to the more expensive course.
7. HOLIDAYS
7.1. Holidays are intended as UK holidays. ClaudiaMyEnglishTeacher will communicate any UK holidays that will affect the lessons. Students must communicate any holidays at the moment of enrolment to avoid disruptions. If no communication is given at the moment of enrolment, LESSON CANCELLATION at point 3 shall apply.
8. LANGUAGE LEVEL
8.1. If a student is found to be below the level required to follow the course they first enrolled on, ClaudiaMyEnglishTeacher reserves the right to place the student in a different class, with no right for financial compensation. This is done to better suit the needs of the student until an appropriate level is reached. This also applies to Exam Preparation and Business English courses. Course changes from one level to another within the same type of course, instructed by the teacher, are free of charge.
9. DISABILITIES POLICY
9.1. ClaudiaMyEnglishTeacher welcomes students with minor disabilities. Please inform us at the application stage if you or someone you are applying on behalf of has any known disability that may affect their course of study. The student has the responsibility to evaluate whether the course is appropriate and whether he/she will be able to follow the lessons. Due to the nature of the online courses and the resources available, we regret to inform that we cannot accept students with a number of severe disabilities.
10. DISCIPLINE
10.1. ClaudiaMyEnglishTeacher reserves the right to expel students in case of continued misconduct and/or disruptive behaviour with no refund of the fees. There will be NO REFUND of fees to expelled students. This policy is FINAL.
11. PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS
11.1. Photographs or videos during the lesson are not allowed;ClaudiaMyEnglishTeacher reserves the right to expel the student who does so and point 3 shall apply in case of refund request.
12. FORCE MAJEURE
12.1. ClaudiaMyEnglishTeacher is not liable for refunds or damages, howsoever arising, in cases where ClaudiaMyEnglishTeacher is unable to fulfil any services to which they are contractually bound because of software compatibility, no internet connection, internet disrupted service, labour disputes, disease, infection or ill health, war, natural disasters, accidents caused with the computer used during the online lesson, or any other circumstances which are beyond their control.
13. CHANGES TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
13.1. The school reserves the right to amend or alter its terms and conditions without providing further notice. In such cases, all courses bought prior to the T&C amendment shall still apply. Any newer version shall automatically replace a previous version and becomes valid for all courses and students from the date of its implementation.
